This pendant is made of dichroic glass, fused by me in my small workshop in the Massif Central. Dichroic glass takes on different colours depending on the angle from which it is viewed. This pendant shows the colour copper and the colour orange from different angles.

This pendant is hand made from fused glass in my small workshop in the Massif Central.
Dichroic glass is glass that takes on different tones and colours depending on the angle that it is viewed at.
My pendants are entirely handmade and so there is only ever one of each design. The bail is also handcrafted by me from aluminium. I choose pieces of glass with colours and patterns that go well together, then I begin the melting process, shaping the glass as it melts and reforms. When the shape is to my liking, I let it cool. Once cooled, I reshape the pendant using a grinder to remove bumps and sharp edges. The piece is then polished and secured with resin for a very secure hold.
The materials I use include recycled glass, marbles, and glass offcuts sourced from the glass industry.
