Blue and red patterned fused glass pendant with cord necklace, handmade jewellery

Handmade from blue glass as the base and a scrap piece of coloured patterned glass, this fused glass pendant necklace is a one-off piece of jewelry, a totally unique piece.

My pendants are entirely handmade and so there is only ever one of each design. The bail is also handcrafted by me from aluminium. I choose pieces of glass with colours and patterns that go well together, then I begin the melting process, shaping the glass as it melts and reforms. When the shape is to my liking, I let it cool. Once cooled, I reshape the pendant using a grinder to remove bumps and sharp edges. The piece is then polished and secured to the bail with resin for a very secure hold.

The materials I use include recycled glass, marbles, and glass offcuts sourced from the glass industry.
